Organised by Global Health Innovations (GHI) in affiliation with the Zambian National STEM Foundation (ZNSF) and in partnership with the Ministry of Technology and Science.
The Challenge is organised by Global Health Innovations Ltd (GHI) in affiliation with the Zambian National STEM Foundation (ZNSF) and in partnership with the Ministry of Technology and Science (the "Partners"), to solicit, evaluate and reward digital health and AI innovations that address priority health challenges in Zambia and the region.
Entrants register via the official Challenge registration form with accurate contact and identity information. All required materials must be submitted by the published deadline in the specified format; late or incomplete submissions may be disqualified at the Organiser's discretion.
If an entry fee applies, it must be paid by the method and deadline on the registration page. All fees are non-refundable once paid, except as required by applicable law.
Participants retain ownership of IP created prior to or during the Challenge, and warrant they hold the rights needed to submit their work. By submitting, participants grant GHI, ZNSF, the Ministry and their agents a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, display and adapt submitted materials for promotional, evaluation and Challenge-related purposes.
Submissions are evaluated against criteria published in the Challenge brief (e.g. technical feasibility, public-health impact, scalability, innovation) by a judging panel appointed by the Organiser. Judges' decisions are final and binding. The Organiser may verify eligibility and disqualify fraudulent, plagiarised or ineligible entries.
Prize amounts, in-kind support and incubation or partnership specifics are set out in the Challenge brief and winner notification. Winners are responsible for any local taxes or costs associated with receiving prizes unless stated otherwise.
Personal data is collected and processed for Challenge administration, judging and (where consented) publicity, in accordance with the Organiser's Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Participants warrant they are the sole author/creator of their submission (or hold all necessary rights), that it does not infringe third-party rights, and that it contains no unlawful material — and agree to indemnify GHI, ZNSF and the Ministry against claims arising from breach of these terms.
The Organiser makes no representations about Challenge outcomes or the real-world functionality of submissions, and is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, except as required by law. The Organiser may cancel, modify or postpone the Challenge due to events beyond its reasonable control.
By entering, participants agree to the use of their name, team name, city/country and a short description of their submission in publicity materials, unless prohibited by law or otherwise notified in writing.
Participants are responsible for securing their own materials and must not submit sensitive personal or health data without explicit request and consent. All activity must comply with applicable Zambian law, including consumer protection legislation. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia; disputes are first referred to mediation, then the competent courts of Zambia. The Organiser may amend these Terms, with changes posted on the Challenge website and effective immediately. If any provision is found invalid, the remainder stays in force.
